In this second volume of his new French-language work, Philippe Goddin searches out and highlights all the differences between the 75 landscape format pages and the updated drawings and pages created as the story was reworked into the current 62-page format for the 1949 book version. Goddin sets the creation of the story in the context of Hergé's life and particularly the experience the author was going through at the time, giving the impression that it was Hergé who was cursed by Rascar Capac.
